Cochrane Fishing & Outdoor Adventures

Cochrane is a northern Ontario town located on Highway 11 east of Kapuskasing and 1 hour north of Timmins.  Visitors who wish to fly scheduled flights to the area will need to book flights to Timmins and arrange car rental from that point.  Visitors who drive to Cochrane are met by a large polar bear statue called "Chimo."  Cochrane is served by the Ontario Northland Railway system and is the northern terminus of the Northlander which runs six days per week from Toronto.  Cochrane is also the southern terminus of the world famous Polar Bear Express which runs five days a week between Cochrane and Moosonee.
