located in the Kenora District
of North Western Ontario.
Fort Hope is located on the
shores of Eabamet Lake which is
part of the Albany River system.
Fort Hope is located
approximately 230 air miles
north of Thunder Bay and is
accessible only by aircraft,
water or winter road

gravel
airstrip and
Wasaya Airways
provides
regular
scheduled
service to the
community on a
year round
basis.
There are no
roads to Fort
Hope, except
for a
temporary ice

winter to haul
bulk fuel,
building
supplies and
other bulk
goods.
Visitors and
residents can
book
flights to
Thunder Bay
from Fort
