Fort Hope Fishing & Outdoor Adventures

Fort Hope which is also known as Eabametoong is a remote Oji-Cree First Nation's community located on the Albany River located about 100 miles north of Armstrong and 100 miles East of Pickle Lake.  In the Anishinaabe language, the name Eabametoong means, "the reversing of the waterplace" as the waterflow from Eabamet Lake into the Albany River reverses for a short time each year with the spring run off.  The only access to Fort Hope is by air or ice road during the winter months.  The Albany River is famous for its spectacular fishing for Walleyes, Northerns and Speckled Trout and Fort Hope is very central to some of the most productive waters in the region.  Outpost camps and lodges are located throughout the area which cater to fishermen, hunters and canoe trippers.  Visitors to the area can book flights to Fort Hope via Thunder Bay or Sioux Lookout with Wasaya Airways.  Or take a charter flight with the numerous charter services listed on our site.

The following facilities offer a wide variety of plans and packages for exceptional Fort Hope Fishing and outdoor adventures.   If you are looking for a remote fly-in fishing adventure, a drive to family resort, cabin rentals, camping facilities or a wilderness canoe trip you are sure to find the perfect Fort Hope fishing and outdoor adventure vacation listed in the facilities below.  Review the following list of resorts, lodges and outfitters and then contact the facility of your choice directly for all rates, package deals and available dates.
