The only
access to Fort
Severn is by
air and Wasaya
Airways
provides
regular
scheduled
flights to the
community from
Sioux Lookout
and Thunder
Bay. If
flight
schedules do
not meet your
requirements
you can also
charter
flights to
Fort Severn
from Pickle
Lake, Sioux
Lookout and
Thunder Bay.
Bulk fuel,
building
supplies and
other bulk
goods are
transported by
barge via
Hudson Bay as
well as
temporary ice
roads which
are available
for 2 - 3
months during
the coldest
months of the
winter. |
