About Igance

 
Ignace is a small Northwestern Ontario community located on Highway 17 and is 131 air miles West of Thunder Bay and 95 air miles North of Fort Frances.  Although not served by regular scheduled airline, there are plenty of reasons to spend time in the Ignace area.  The region is well known for its excellent fishing and hunting and is a popular jumping off location for fly-in fishing.
 
Location:
Ignace is a small community in Northwestern Ontario located on highway 17 and junction of 599.  The town is a 2.5 hour drive west of Thunder Bay and about 1 hour east of Dryden.  From Ignace you can drive 3 hours north to Pickle Lake and the end of highway 599.
 
Access / Airports / Transportation:
Although Ignace does have an airport, it is used primarily for private aircraft and charter flights.  There is no commercial airline serving Ignace.  The primary access to the community is Highway 17.
