Moosonee is a unique northern community located on the Moose River and just south of James Bay.  There is no road access to this community, however visitors can travel by scheduled airline or the Ontario Northland Railway.  Moosonee is the most northerly destination for the Ontario Northland and it is here that the trains turn around for the return trip south.  Hundreds of visitors come to the area each year to sample the areas fishing, hunting, history and culture.  There are several motels, and outfitters in the area who can assure you of a memorable and exciting trip to the area.
