There are no
roads leading
to Muskrat
Dam, except
for a
temporary ice
road that is
accessible 2 -
3 months of
the winter and
is used for
transporting
bulk fuel,
building
supplies and
other heavy
freight and
goods.
The primary
access is by
air and Wasaya
Airways
provides
scheduled
flights to the
community from
Sioux Lookout
and Thunder
Bay. If
airline
schedules do
not meet your
timetable,
private
charter
flights to
Muskrat Dam
can also be
arranged from
most
northwestern
Ontario
communities
including
Sioux Lookout,
Red Lake,
Pickle Lake
and Thunder
Bay. |

motels in
Muskrat Dam
and anyone
planning on
visiting the
area may want
to contact the
Band Office to
inquire about
overnight
accommodations.
There are
however remote
outpost camps
in the region
which cater to
sportsmen
looking for a
few days of
exceptional
wilderness
fishing or
hunting.
