About Timmins

 
Location:
Timmins is a major mining and economic center in Northern Ontario located on Highway 101 west of highway 11.  The city is 440 km north east of Sault Ste Marie / 290 km north of Sudbury and 680 km north of Toronto.
 
Access / Airports / Transportation:
Timmins is a major transportation center for northern Ontario and the regional airport is served by Air Creebec, Bearskin Airlines and Air Canada Jazz.  From Timmins you have access to all the coastal communities along James Bay and Hudson Bay in addition to the more populated regions to the south.  There are direct flights to Toronto.  A large percentage of the visitors to the area drive to Timmins via hwy 11 and 101 from North Bay or hwy 129 and 101 if coming from Sault Ste Marie and points in the USA.
