Wapekeka Fishing & Outdoor Adventures

Wapekeka which is also known as Angling Lake is a remote First Nations community located just to the East of Big Trout Lake and just under 500 km north of Sioux Lookout.  There is no road access to this remote community.  Scheduled air travel is provided by Wasaya Airways and connections can be made out of Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout.  There are no facilities nor services in the community for visiting sportsmen, however the area surrounding Wapekeka is home to exceptional Walleye Fishing, Northern Pike Fishing and Trout Fishing.  Anyone interested in visiting the area needs to make arrangements with fly-in services and outfitters in Pickle Lake or Sioux Lookout.
