About Weagamow

 
Location:
Weagamow also known as Round Lake, is an isolated First Nation's community located in North Western Ontario 113 air miles north of Pickle Lake and 330 air miles north of Thunder Bay.
 
Access / Airports / Transportation:
There is no full time road access to Weagamow, however a temporary winter road is maintained for 2 - 3 months of the year which is used primarily to transport bulk fuel and freight.  The primary access to Weagamow - Round Lake is via air and Wasaya Airways provides regular scheduled flights from Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake and Thunder Bay.
 
Accommodations / Services / Attractions / Events:
There are no motels in Weagamow and visitors to the area should contact the Band office prior to making plans to determine if overnight accommodations can be arranged. Alternatively, visitors should book accommodations in Pickle Lake.  If you are a sportsmen looking to book 5 - 7 days of wilderness fishing there are remote outpost camps in the general region of Weagamow.  Check out out Fishing links to view a complete list of outfitters.
